Manila ropes are made from abaca fiber ( Abaca is a tropical plant, a species of banana) and are brown-yellow color. Manila hemp is 65% stronger than general hemp and 20% lighter. In addition, manila rope is resistant to exposure of sea water, dos not drown, high resistant to molding and damage. Because of such characteristics this kind of rope is used in see and river fleet, in making of rescue equipment (storm-traps, pendants with musings etc), for standing and running rigging. In addition, these ropes are widely used in interior design due to its eye-catching appearance.
