EPIRB SEP-406: Satellite emergency beacon with two frequencies for transmitting distress signals

SEP-406 EPIRB — this is emergency beacon that doesn't require surfacingdesigned for transmitting distress signals to search and rescue services. The device meets the following requirements Cospas-Sarsat (class 2) and operates on two frequencies:

  • 406.025 MHz (UHF) - to determine the position and receive the signal via the satellite system COSPAS-SARSAT.
  • 121.5 MHz (VHF) — для передачи сигналов на частоте бедствия для осуществления поисковых операций с использованием функции «Homing» для авиационных служб.

EPIRB SEP-406 meets the following standards:

  • IMO resolutions A. 763 (18), A. 662 (17)
  • IEC № 945-94
  • ITU-RM.663
  • COSPAS-SARSAT and GMDSS standards
